Early on in the design process work with all of the trades involved in the POD integration to clearly define the scope of each contractor.
Special focus on plumbing and framing integration
Results in a continuously updated Responsibility Matrix for all trades
Coordinated Model Development
Design a model that can be integrated into the project model (Navisworks/Autocad) in order to identify any clashes and confirm the agreed upon connection locations for all trades.
Results in the Model that will serve as the basis for our production.
Mockup / Prototype Units and Production Requirements
Produce non-conforming mockups of the PODs as required and ship these to the project site (or another agreed upon location) for evaluation by all trades prior to beginning production.
This also will allow an opportunity to evaluate finishes and make any final changes before production begins.
Results in a Formal Approval of the mockup by all trades and benchmark for production
POD Penetration Templates
Provide a template of each POD type with the connection locations clearly identified.
This template will serve as an aid to check the sleeve locations (or can mark locations if core drilling after the concrete has cured).
Drawings indicating each penetration location relative to grid lines or any other reference point as required by the site plumbing contractor.
POD Placement and Connection Simulation
Neopod has a platform in our facility that can be used to simulate the final POD placement and to evaluate the connection locations on the prototype.
We recommend shipping and setting two conforming PODs prior to the bulk delivery to evaluate this on site as well.
Neopod Assistance and Equipment
Neopod representatives will be present at the first POD delivery and installation to train those involved on how best to move and set the PODs.
Custom moving equipment will be provided by Neopod for the most efficient movement and placement of PODS onsite.
